New Meadows Baptist Church began to meet in 1966 with the support of the Southern Baptist Convention, and as the church grew, a building was built in 1968 on Maine Street in Brunswick and the church assumed a new name – Maine Street Baptist Church. In 1984, Rev. Dale Morell was called to serve as senior pastor and under his leadership, the church has experienced consistent growth through the years with Bible studies and discipleship courses being taught
continually and the building has expanded several times to accommodate the education, outreach and ministries of the church. Today, the church continues to restore and build as God leads in order to meet the needs of its people. Maine Street Baptist supports missionaries locally and internationally and participates in short-term mission trips each year. The focus of the church is “to know Him and to make Him known”.
